This coming Tuesday we are having a Relief Society meeting that is focusing on the importance of remembering the birth of Christ amongst all of the holiday celebrations. If you have any stories, FHE lessons, family traditions, music, craft ideas, gifts of service, etc., that you would like to share with us, we would appreciate it. It's such a great reminder to remember what it's all about. There was an article in the Ensign a few years back that talked about a family that through the holiday season they got a little bit of hay to put in the nativity for every nice thing they did for eachother or kind words said things like that. And then on Christmas Eve they turned off all the lamps and went up stairs and read the christmas story in the scriptures by candle light then walked to the nativity (like a vigil) by candle light singing christmas hymns. Then they looked at all the hay and how the baby Jesus laid in hay in the stable and how all the nice things they did were like gifts to Jesus. If you can find the story in the Ensign it's pretty amazing and a neat idea.
